About Our Leadership

Sheila Tartaglia – President & CEO

Sheila Tartaglia, Chief Operating Officer With more than 20 years of experience in public relations and marketing communications, Sheila is a forward-looking leader both within Tartaglia Communications and the PR field as a whole.

Sheila chaired the Public Relations Society of America’s (PRSA’s) National Diversity and Inclusion Committee, where she helped revitalize and increase the committee’s membership and visibility, and engaged PRSA’s chapters in diversity initiatives. Her articles on diversity, inclusion and other topics relevant to PR practitioners have been published in PRSA online and print news and opinion outlets, including the PRSay blog and Public Relations Tactics. Now volunteering primarily on the local level, she serves as director and membership co-chair of PRSA’s New Jersey Chapter.

In addition to managing Tartaglia Communications, Sheila is intricately involved in client work -- ensuring that all clients achieve their objectives. Recent successes include a pro bono suicide prevention campaign targeting young African-American men, for the New York branch of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention; the multi-faceted launch of biotech Hengrui Therapeutics, which was executed in less than a month; and a campaign that brought ongoing national media attention to the Alzheimer’s Drug Discovery Foundation, the only public charity focused solely on developing effective Alzheimer’s treatments.

Sheila is deeply committed to developing the next generation of public relations practitioners, both as an adjunct professor at Seton Hall University and as a mentor to young professionals. She initiated her agency’s sponsorship of PRSA NJ’s 2017 Future Public Relations Professional of the Year Award. The award, which includes a $1,500 scholarship, is given to an undergraduate student who demonstrates leadership and commitment to the field of public relations.

Sheila holds a Master of Arts from The College of New Jersey, a Bachelor of Arts from Rutgers University, and a Public Relations Certificate from the Rutgers University School of Communication and Information.

Dennis has worked in nearly every clinical area, and has extensive expertise in addiction and behavioral health, oncology/hematology, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease, pulmonary disease, orthopedics, rheumatology, geriatrics/gerontology, infectious disease, and neuroscience, neurology and neurosurgery. He has also worked extensively in various areas of public health, including disease prevention and early detection, health disparities, quality and patient safety, and urban health.
